Job summary

Greer Stop Nut in Nashville, TN is seeking a Manual Machinist on 1st Shift to operate Davenport or ACME-Gridley screw machines. Candidates should have experience with Davenport/Acme screw machines or similar equipment. The role involves following blueprints, maintaining tolerances, and safely running multiple machines when needed.

We offer weekly pay, a 401k with match, paid holidays and personal time, and a shift differential. Relocation is authorized.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating multi-spindle screw machines or similar metal-cutting equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and basic dimensional specifications.
• Comfort with basic shop math and tooling geometry.

Responsibilities

• Operate Davenport or ACME-Gridley screw machines to produce parts per specs.
• Inspect parts in-process and adjust machine offsets to maintain tolerances.
• Load fixtures, set up equipment, and ensure safe machine operation.
• Run multiple machines when required and follow safety procedures.
