Job summary

Service Steel Aerospace is seeking a Saw Operator for the Wichita facility. This second shift role runs Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, cutting aluminum, alloy, stainless steel, titanium, and other exotic metals to exact specifications.

You will set up band saws, read work orders, handle material movement with forklift/crane, and ensure quality and safety compliance throughout operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to read work orders and follow specifications.
• Experience with measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate band saws to cut aluminum, alloy, stainless steels, titanium, and other exotic metals to specified dimensions.
• Read work orders for material specs and dimensions to be cut.
• Retrieve material and move stock to band saws by forklift, crane, or manually.
• Install saw blades and adjust cutting speed per operation.
• Input data to set band saw parameters per shop order specifications.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality inspections.
