Valmont Industries in Valley, Nebraska is seeking a Saw Operator to cut shafts per blueprint, verify lengths and angles, and support material flow on multiple production lines. You will also operate a forklift and coordinate with QA, dispatch and leads to meet production goals.

This role requires ability to read blueprints, use tape measures, micrometers, protractors, and to work overtime. Valmont emphasizes safety, Lean practices and teamwork; forklift certification within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for product setups.
• Ability to read and interpret standard and OD tape measures, micrometers and protractors.
• Must be forklift certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days.
• Ability to read and decipher blueprints to process scheduled work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a saw to cut shafts per blueprint to meet customer requirements.
• Use tape measures, micrometers, protractors to ensure accurate lengths, diameters and angles.
• Look up part locations using IFS and issue materials to shop orders.
• Operate a forklift to transfer material and deliver product.
• Support LEAN activities and maintain a clean, safe work area.
