Job summary

Valmont is seeking a Saw Operator for our Valley, Nebraska facility to cut shafts per blueprint and support multiple production lines. You will operate a saw, measure parts, and coordinate with Material Handlers, QA, Dispatchers and Leads to meet production requirements.

Responsibilities include setting up the saw, verifying lengths and diameters with tape measure, micrometer and protractor, and safely operating a forklift.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for setup and production tasks.
• Ability to read and use a standard tape measure, micrometer, and protractor.
• Must maintain acceptable work history and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a saw to cut shafts per blueprint to meet customer requirements.
• Use measuring tools to ensure accurate lengths and diameters.
• Look up part locations using IFS and issue materials to shop orders.
• Operate a forklift as needed to transfer material and deliver product.
• Participate in LEAN activities and follow safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support other lines as needed.
