Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Saw Operator for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.) in Omaha, NE. The role cuts shafts per blueprints, operates a forklift, and coordinates with Material Handlers and QA to meet production needs.

Required are math and measurement skills, blueprint reading, and forklift certification within 90 days. IFS familiarity is a plus, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for production setup.
• Ability to read and use a standard and O.D. tape measure, micrometer, protractor.
• Able to maintain good attendance and work history.
• Ability to read and decipher blueprints for scheduled work.
• Ability to work overtime when required for business needs.
• Forklift certification within first 90 days.
• Learn inventory locations to assist Material Handlers.
• Demonstrates passion and integrity to excel.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a saw to cut shafts per blueprint.
• Use measuring tools to ensure accurate lengths and diameters.
• Identify part locations in IFS and issue materials to shop orders.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and deliver products.
• Participate in LEAN activities and follow safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Assist assembly lines when workload allows.
