Job summary

Gorbel, Inc. is hiring a Receiver/Shipper for the second shift in Goodyear, AZ. You will move materials using forklifts, cranes and hoists, and prepare outbound loads with careful attention to detail.

Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, logging shipments, and ensuring accuracy of invoices while prioritizing safety. Proficiency with Windows/Office and blueprint reading is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass truck and crane certification training.
• Computer knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel.
• Ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
• Dexterous use of hand tools and good communication.
• Willingness to work second shift and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload trucks with raw steel beams and pallets up to 60 feet long.
• Operate forklifts, cranes and hoists for moving heavy loads.
• Build custom skids and packaging to optimize space and safety.
• Process Purchase Orders; distribute logs to floor supervisors.
• Communicate with logistics for invoice accuracy and issue resolution.
• Inspect incoming/outgoing material for quality and quantities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

You may be contacted by phone by recruitment personnel based in either Canada or New York.Work Shift:Second Shift (United States of America)Job Description:The Receiver/Shipper is responsible for the efficient flow of incoming materials, and the efficient preparation of outgoing materials. Through the use of various material handling equipment, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Load/unload trucks of raw steel beams, non standardized and palletized loads ranging in size up to 60 foot lengths.Utilize forklifts, cranes and hoist systems to maneuver unbalanced loads weighing in excess of 1,000 pounds and 30 feet in length throughout the facilityBuild custom skids and custom packaging as requiredUse problem solving skills to stage and palletized loads in an efficient and cost-effective manner on outbound trailers.
