Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is actively building a network of Quoting Specialists in the Portage, MI area. This role involves preparing accurate quotes for custom manufactured products and collaborating with engineering, sales, and production teams to capture all costs and lead times.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in quoting/estimating within manufacturing, strong math skills, and experience with ERP/MRP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a quoting or estimating role within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings (blueprints, schematics) and specifications.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency in calculating costs, margins, and lead times.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with sales, engineering, and customers.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple quotes concurrently and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely quotes for custom manufactured products.
• Analyze customer specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to determine project scope and material requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to gather necessary information for quoting.
• Utilize ERP systems and other software tools to generate cost estimates and pricing.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to secure orders while maintaining profitability.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of quotes, pricing, and customer information.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the quoting process.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding quotes, product information, and order status.
