This role focuses on preparing accurate quotes and supporting cost estimates for customers, collaborating with sales, engineering and production to ensure feasibility and value.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in quoting or estimating within manufacturing, can interpret blueprints, and are proficient with ERP/MRP systems

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a quoting or estimating role within manufacturing.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
• Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate costs, lead times, and profit margins.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with internal teams and customers.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and quoting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely quotes for customers based on specifications.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production to ensure quote accuracy and feasibility.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and quoting tools.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding quote status, revisions, and inquiries.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative solutions to optimize quotes.
• Review and interpret customer requests for quotation (RFQs).
