Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Allendale, MI is seeking a Quoting Specialist to join our manufacturing-focused team. Analyze requests, read blueprints, and develop accurate quotes; collaborate with engineering, sales, and production to gather data; negotiate terms to ensure profitability.

Experience in manufacturing quoting, strong math, ERP/MRP and Excel proficiency required; familiarity with SAP/Oracle/NetSuite and CPQ tools is a plus; multiple quote duties and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a quoting or estimating role within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency in calculating costs, margins, and lead times.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with sales, engineering, and customers.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requests, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate and competitive quotes.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to gather necessary information for quoting.
• Utilize ERP systems and quoting software to process requests and generate proposals.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with customers, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of all quotes, including revisions and customer communications.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and propose alternative solutions to optimize quote competitiveness.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor pricing, and material costs to ensure up-to‑date quoting strategies.
