Job summary

Brunswick is seeking a Quality Technician for the 2nd shift in our assembly operations. You will work with outboard assembly product lines to maintain quality systems, perform dimensional inspections, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will read drawings, apply FMEA and control plans, and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure conformance and reduce variation. This role emphasizes hands-on quality assurance and adherence to safety and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree OR equivalent post high school three or more years of experience with complex assembly operations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to pay close attention to specifications.
  • Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of inspection techniques, metrology methods, and print tolerances.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and assembly practices.

Responsibilities

  • Reduce manufacturing process or product variation using laboratory instruments and root cause analysis.
  • Lead or assist in problem-solving projects including corrective actions.
  • Read engineering drawings and understand tolerances and key features.
  • Perform basic dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Support deviations, FMEAs, and quality documentation in the quality system.
  • Communicate quality standards on the production line and in toolbox meetings.
