Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking skilled Quality Inspectors to join its manufacturing partner network. This role centers on visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.

You will use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and, when applicable, CMM equipment; document results; report non-conformances; and collaborate with production to prevent defects and improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; an associate's degree in a technical field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., SPC, root cause analysis).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality checks.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action procedures.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine quality requirements.
