Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Fremont, MI is partnering with manufacturing employers to identify skilled Quality Inspectors. This role focuses on inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with blueprints and specifications.

You'll document results, use calipers, micrometers, gauges and CMMs, report non-conformances, and help drive corrective actions with production and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schecharts, and technical documents
• Familiarity with measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles
• Ability to perform visual inspections and identify defects

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products according to specifications and blueprints.
• Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances, and maintain detailed inspection records.
• Utilize various precision measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Identify and report quality defects and deviations from standards to production and engineering teams.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process checks to ensure adherence to quality control plans.
• Initiate and follow up on corrective actions for identified non-conformances.
• Collaborate with production personnel to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
