Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for first shift in Devens, MA. You will perform dimensional inspections on high precision components using CMMs and hand tools, review reports, and support ISO 9001 activities on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mechanical inspections, GD&T training, and experience with ASME Y14.5. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel occasionally as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and GD&T training completed.
• 5+ years in advanced mechanical inspections.
• Strong reading of blueprints and tolerances.
• Experience with precision inspection tools and CMMs.
• Ability to interpret vendor inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional inspection of high precision components at multiple stages.
• Execute inspections to required accuracy and document results.
• Prepare and file detailed inspection reports and nonconformances.
• Review vendor dimensional reports and approve material test data.
• Support ISO 9001:2015 activities on the shop floor.
• Interface with technicians to interpret drawings and specs.
• Maintain safety practices and assist on related quality tasks.
• Assist with calibration and use of inspection equipment.
• Travel occasionally; be available for nights/weekends/on-call.
