Job summary

The Davis Companies Inc. in Wilmington, MA is seeking a Quality Inspector on 1st shift to ensure product conformance through rigorous inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished parts.

You will read engineering drawings, apply GD&T, and use calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions. Experience in FDA or regulated environments is preferred, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Proficiency with CMM is a plus and there is room for growth within the quality team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
• 3+ years of experience in inspection within an FDA or regulated environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with CMM operation and programming is a plus.
• 20/20 vision required, with or without corrective lenses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Develop and maintain strong internal working relationships across departments.
• Utilize hand measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for precise measurements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Perform 100% inspections of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
