Job summary

Precision Fuzing and Sensors in Middletown, CT is seeking a Quality Inspector to support the Operations Department. You will inspect assemblies and sub-assemblies using micrometers, calipers and other precision tools.

Responsibilities include dimensional and visual inspection to tight tolerances, interpreting drawings, recording results, and coordinating with QA engineers on non-conformities. Shift: 1st, 6:30a-3:00p.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector or related manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with shop mathematics, reading blueprints, interpreting specifications, and using precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspection of complex in-process and completed machines, cast, molded and fabricated parts.
• Inspect to tolerances of .0001 or more with tools such as micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and gauges.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications; record inspection results and complete paperwork.
• Coordinate with QA engineers to address non-conforming conditions and initiate corrective actions.
• Maintain certification documents and assist in process improvement activities.
