Job summary

Laborup is seeking a Quality Inspector to join a precision machining operation near Concord, NH. The role focuses on ensuring manufactured components meet drawings, tolerances, and customer specs.

You will inspect during receiving, in-process, and final stages, use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMMs and other tools, and document results in the QMS. Collaboration with manufacturing and engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection within manufacturing or machine shop.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
• Hands-on with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Team-oriented and able to resolve quality concerns with manufacturing/engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
• Inspect components with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMMs and related tools.
• Conduct First Article Inspections according to requirements.
• Verify dimensional accuracy and document results for QMS records.
• Record nondestructive and nonconforming material appropriately.
• Support disposition of discrepant material with engineering.
