Job summary

Granite State Manufacturing is recruiting for a quality Inspector role focused on reading blueprints, applying GD&T, and performing in-process and final inspections. The position requires CMM operation, meticulous measurement, and cross-functional teamwork.

Candidates should have a two-year technical certificate or 5 years of related experience, and must be able to meet export-control requirements. A strong emphasis on quality, safety, and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Two-year certification from college or technical school; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to interpret and apply GD&T.
• Must have the ability to operate, set up, and program Mitutoyo CMMs.
• Team player but able to work independently without supervision.
• Export-control/ITAR compliance knowledge or eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Supports First Piece, In-Process, Final, and F.A.I. Inspections.
• Interprets blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Verifies dimensions using verniers, micrometers, CMMs and other tools.
• Measures surface finish and checks for defects on parts.
• Operates and programs CMMs and related measuring equipment.
• Writes inspection and testing reports.
• Collaborates with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Maintains a safe, organized work area and adheres to GSM policies.
