Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 1 year of experience or 2 years of related experience in lieu of education.
• Ability to read blueprints and routing sheets.
• Ability to operate forklifts, hoists, die handlers safely.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures including PPE and daily inspections.
• Complete first article inspection reports using inspection techniques and quality tools.
• Set-up and operate punch presses for various metal types.
• Perform change-overs and use hand tools for setup and material adjustments.
• Produce stamped parts within quality/quantity standards per blueprints/route sheets.
• Complete labor cards, production reports, JIT sheets, CI cards, timely and accurately.
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Communicate effectively with department to maintain production rate.
• Utilize mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to complete tasks.
• Maintain 6s in the work area and participate in CI initiatives.
• Perform cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Work scheduled overtime hours (weekdays/weekends).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
