Job summary

Trystar Inc is seeking a Punch Press Operator in Houston, TX to join our Fabrication Department. The role operates punch press machines to produce precision components from sheet metal, following engineering drawings and SOPs, with safety and quality as top priorities.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in machine operation and mechanical aptitude to understand how manufacturing equipment works together to produce high-quality products.
• 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma and technical secondary education are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the machines for manufacturing portable power products while conforming to the quality requirements.
• Understand the job orders and interact with Epicor.
• Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) which are necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product.
• Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16.
• Understand, complete, and maintain all required paperwork necessary in the operation including entering paperwork into Epicor. This also includes daily production reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, etc.
• Maintain and operate hand tools necessary to set-up, take apart and to operate the equipment.
• Perform required quality control checks and inspections to assure the product being manufactured is meeting required specifications.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
