Job summary

Trystar, a leading power solutions company, seeks a Brake Press Operator for our Houston, TX area team. You will set up and operate brake press equipment to form sheet metal parts according to engineering drawings, ensuring precise bending and on-time production.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in metalworking/manufacturing, can lift up to 50 lbs, and can read English plant directives. SolidWorks/EPICOR experience is a plus, and safety comes first in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in machine operation or mechanical aptitude to understand how manufacturing equipment works together in a line to produce high quality products.
• 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or general knowledge of metalworking, bending and tooling.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Prepare and set up the press brake machine by loading tooling, dies, and materials.
• Material Handling: Position and align sheet metal on the press brake bed for bending.
• Bending Operations: Operate the press brake to bend or form materials per drawings and specs.
• Quality Control: Inspect bent components with calipers and gauges for dimensional accuracy.
• Tool Maintenance: Maintain and replace press brake tooling as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines and industry regulations while operating the machine.
• Production Monitoring: Track bending progress to maintain workflow and address deviations.
• Documentation: Record production data in Epicor, including machine settings and maintenance.
