Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a Prepress Specialist to prepare customer-submitted files for print, verify technical specs, and merge variable data into InDesign files. You will use InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat to preflight, impose, and output press-ready files for multiple print machines.

You will also manage digital assets, upload postal documents, and support mailing production daily. Familiarity with Visual Basic and web-to-print tools is a plus, and you may assist with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a related field required.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating system and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Read job ticket and notes to understand specifications.
• Check incoming files in InDesign to ensure conformity to specs.
• Resolve font conflicts and ensure fonts are available.
• Identify low-resolution images and spot color issues.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and customer to resolve preflight problems.
