Job summary

Ohio University’s University Printing Resource Center seeks a Pre-Press Operator to coordinate pre-press services, prepare digital files, and ensure files are print-ready. The role supports color management, layout, proofing, and production for books, catalogs, and various materials.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of related experience and strong Adobe Suite skills, plus experience with wide-format printers and layout/imposition.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3-5 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience using the Adobe Suite.
• Experience operating wide-format printers.
• Layout/imposition and graphic design experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and produce pre-press services for various materials.
• Prepare digital files, artwork, and materials for the printing process.
• Manage color, proofing, layout/imposition, and production workflows.
