Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a Prepress Specialist to prepare and verify customer files for print, ensuring colors, resolution, fonts, and layout meet specs. You will merge variable data in InDesign, preflight with HP SmartStream, and output files for multiple print machines.

You will also manage mailings per USPS regs, upload Postal One documents, and potentially update product sites while developing Visual Basic macros to improve workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a related field is required.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS and Adobe Creative Cloud apps (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).

Responsibilities

• Read job tickets and instructions to understand specifications.
• Use Adobe Creative Cloud to verify file conformity and fonts.
• Identify font issues, low-resolution images, and layout problems.
• Create press-ready files with HP SmartStream Designer.
• Link variable data in InDesign to databases and manage mailings.
• Upload mail.dat files to Postal One for daily mailings.
• Develop Visual Basic macros to streamline daily mail production.
