Job summary

Tech Etch in Plymouth, MA is looking for a press operator to set up or set up and operate various manual, pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic presses to cut, shape, and form metal, plastic, or other materials per blueprints, CAD drawings, or documented specs.

You will install die sets, align fixtures, measure parts with height gauges, calipers, and micrometers, and document setup notes to ensure repeatability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading blueprints or CAD drawings preferred.
• Knowledge of measuring equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up die sets into presses and start operations.
• Adjust components and set stops on forming equipment.
• Install, align, and secure fixtures and dies using gauges and hand tools.
• Measure and inspect workpieces with height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
• Document setup notes and diagrams to ensure repeatability.
• Monitor presses for misalignment or malfunctions and adjust as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and lubricate presses.
