Job summary

IDEX in Farmington, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Press Operator to join our team. Set up single-level compaction presses, run and monitor 3 Ton presses, load trays, manage furnace operation and powder levels, and perform first piece, in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.

We expect a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years in manufacturing; prior press‑setup experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous press setup experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set up various single-level compaction presses.
• Run and monitor 3 Ton presses; in-process inspection and adjustment, tray loading, furnace operation & powder level monitoring.
• Perform first piece, in-process and final inspection (visual sorting, flow testing, length, OD, burr).
• Meet tight production requirements across long-running production and react in real time to stay within requirements.
• Ability to switch between the two roles/pitches in the cell on a daily basis.
• Embrace a value stream approach from setup through pressing and inspection.
