Job summary

ARaymond is seeking a Press Setup Operator to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain slide forming machines and punch presses. You will interpret blueprints, perform inspections, record quality data, and support production control while collaborating with the Tooling Department to improve processes.

You will help ensure safety, quality, and on-time production, maintaining a clean and organized work environment in a high-tech manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of machine operation and machine setup experience required.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proven record of reliability and dependability.
• Ability to understand and follow work instructions and in-process documentation, effectively troubleshoot issues and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to safe work practices and consistently comply with EHS standards, policies, and values.

Responsibilities

• Tear down, operate, and facilitate setup, maintenance, and changeover of slide forming machines or punch presses.
• Tend to production machines following setup and proper lubrication, collection, and disposal procedures.
• Collaborate with Tooling Department to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement improvements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and Operator Instruction Sheets to monitor product quality; measure and record results in SAP.
• Perform system transactions and complete required admin activities to support production control.
• Troubleshoot production issues and machine malfunctions to improve efficiency while maintaining safety and 5S standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with tooling removal and pre-set up activities for future jobs.
• Understand impact of scrap contamination and prevent contamination through proper handling and discipline.
