Job summary

Electroswitch is seeking an experienced Metal Stamping Press Setup Operator for our Weymouth, MA facility. The role involves setting up and operating stamping presses with various dies to produce precision metal components.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with press setup, blueprint reading, and precision measurement instruments, including micrometers and calipers. Safe operation and quality documentation are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years press operation or related experience preferred.
Experience setting up dies and operating stamping presses is strongly preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Review work orders, specifications, blueprints, and setup instructions before production.
Select, install, and set up dies for each production order.
Adjust feeds and equipment to ensure proper material height and alignment.
Load coils weighing up to 800 pounds onto unwind stands.
Set up and operate stamping presses with various dies and materials.
