Job summary

Electroswitch is hiring a Metal Stamping Press Setup Operator for our Weymouth, MA facility. You will set up and operate stamping presses with various dies and materials to produce precision metal components.

Ideal candidates have hands-on press and die setup experience, blueprint reading skills, and use precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet tolerances. You will inspect parts, document SPC data, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Experience with press and die setup.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and setup instructions.
• Experience documenting SPC and production data.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, specs, blueprints and setup instructions before production.
• Select, install and set up the appropriate die for each order.
• Adjust feeds and equipment for proper material height and alignment.
• Load and handle material weighing up to 800 pounds when required.
• Set up and operate stamping presses with various dies and materials.
• Inspect finished parts for conformance to blueprints and tolerances.
• Use micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Maintain safety equipment and clean work area.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and document results.
