Job summary

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of press experience, read blueprints and work instructions, and can lift up to 50 lbs. This role offers a pathway within a West Michigan manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor maintenance of press equipment.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing presses to produce parts according to specifications.
• Perform setup and changeover procedures for various presses, including tooling adjustments and material loading.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and make necessary adjustments to ensure product meets quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions and production issues.
• Maintain accurate production records, including part counts, downtime, and scrap.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
