Ergomet Inc Precision Sheet Metal Mfg Co in Ward Hill, MA is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our precision-focused team. You will set up, program, and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal to exact specifications, reading blueprints and work orders to ensure part accuracy.

You will select tooling, perform in-process quality checks, maintain tight tolerances, and keep a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating a press brake in metal fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, angle finders).
• Knowledge of tooling setup, dies, and back gauge programming.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal to specification.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders for accuracy.
• Select and install tooling, dies, and back gauges for each job.
• Perform in-process quality checks with calipers and gauges.
• Maintain tight tolerances and adhere to fabrication standards.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and report issues promptly.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area per shop protocols.
