Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining or metal fabrication preferred.
• 13 years of experience operating press brake machines or in a similar metal fabrication role.
• Proficiency in operating press brake machines and related equipment.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and bending specifications.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately.
• Knowledge of metal properties and bending techniques.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for measuring and setting up machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets and plates according to job requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine bending requirements and setups.
• Verify dimensions and angles of bent parts using measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of press brake machines to ensure they remain in good working condition.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE while operating the press brake machine.
• Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and quality inspections.
• Collaborate with other operators and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and production goals.
• Identify opportunities for improving efficiency and quality in press brake operations.
