Job summary

CRH is seeking a plant operator to operate and monitor equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with production standards. The role involves setting machine controls, inspecting output, and performing routine maintenance.

Ideal candidates will read specifications, work independently, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The position emphasizes accuracy, flexibility, and teamwork to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent; or 1 month related experience or equivalent combo
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Ability to apply written or diagrammatic instructions
• Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel estimated

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by measurements
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions
• Review product quality for consistency and adherence to specs
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Assist others to set up machines and meet deadlines
• Maintain clean and orderly work area
• Other duties as assigned as needed
