Job summary

CRH is seeking an entry-level production assistant at our Florida facility near Pompano Beach. You will support the designated machine operator and production team in maintenance, cleanup, yard work, and material handling to keep shift production on track.

The role emphasizes safety, following procedures, and basic math and reading skills. You must stand for long periods and be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Training may be provided for equipment operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience.
• Ability to follow production and safety procedures.
• Basic reading skills and number recognition.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Handle assignments in a repetitive and/or sequential order for completing tasks assigned
• Keep work area clean
• Use security gear at all times and follows all safety regulations
• Operate machinery or equipment as trained and instructed following safety guidelines at all times
• Assist lead operator in preparing for shift production
• May be required to operate equipment such as hoppers, bagging and sealer machines, forklift, palletizers, hydraulic equipment, powered tractors or vehicles, among others. Internal certification/training is required for these tasks
• Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks
• Maintain, verify and count product inventory
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
