Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a machine operator to operate assigned machinery in our manufacturing facility, adhering to safety policies to produce a superior product. You will read specifications, adjust controls, monitor for defects, perform basic maintenance, and support teammates to meet deadlines.

A high school diploma or related experience is required, plus basic understanding of electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical concepts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic understanding of electronics and programmable controllers.
• Basics of hydraulics, electricity and tools.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance to ensure quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and complete tasks to meet deadlines.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
