Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure to specifications.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines (brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, drill presses).
• May weld components in various positions per blueprints; tack-weld as needed.
• Maintain safe work habits and keep work area clean.
• Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials and task sequences.
