Job summary

Intervala is seeking a skilled Repair Technician in Mount Pleasant, PA to rework and repair finished goods returned via RMAs. You will restore products to specification, document steps, and return units to customers or inventory following quality procedures.

The role requires advanced soldering (IPC-A-610 Class 3), ability to read blueprints, and experience with SMT/THT rework. You’ll collaborate with Quality Engineers and RMA teams in a fast-paced, high-detail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• IPC-A-610 Class 3 certification preferred.
• J-STD-001 certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong soldering and rework skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex repair of printed circuit board assemblies.
• Perform component-level repairs, replacements, adjustments, and calibrations.
• Execute refurbishments based on approved work instructions or engineering guidance.
• Review RMA or MR documentation and confirm required work scope.
• Maintain clear documentation of all repair steps and replaced parts.
• Capture photos, measurements, and details for quality records.
• Follow all SOPs, WI, safety protocols, and ESD standards.
• Ensure repairs meet quality specifications and customer expectations.
• Identify out-of-scope or non-repairable returns and escalate.
• Work with Quality Engineers on root-cause investigations.
• Support RMA team, test technicians, and logistics staff.
• Contribute to reducing repeat repairs and faster turnaround.
• Hand-solder SMT and THT components per specifications.
• Assemble chassis and electromechanical devices with various hardware.
• Suggest documentation improvements for quality.
