Job summary

Stifel Financial Corp. is seeking a Payment Operations Specialist I to support daily payment processing, reconciliations, and customer support with a strong emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will handle ACH and RTP payments, resolve issues, and collaborate across teams to improve efficiency.

The role requires attention to detail, effective communication, and adherence to NACHA rules; prior payment operations exposure is a plus. On-site at our St. Louis area offices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required; 1+ year in payment operations preferred.
• Knowledge of NACHA rules and Regulation E is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process payment types (ACH, RTP, etc.) per procedures.
• Perform daily reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Assist in resolving payment issues and failed transactions.
• Respond to internal inquiries on payment status and procedures.
• Identify potential fraud or risk as needed.
• Maintain compliance with NACHA rules and internal policies.
