Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Painter II on the 2nd shift to prime and paint detail parts and final assemblies to current specs. You will maintain painting equipment, mix paints, follow SOPs, and prep parts for coating.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience. Ability to read blueprints and operate curing ovens or chart recorders is a plus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and generous vacation.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) in US, or vocational/technical education with ~1 year relevant painting experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and follow specs.

Responsibilities

• Prime and final paint detail parts and assemblies per current specifications.
• Maintain paint equipment, mix paint, and control paint viscosity.
• Follow standard operating procedures and SOPs.
• Prepare parts by masking, washing, sanding, and priming as required.
• Operate spray guns and curing ovens, adjust equipment to spec.
• Read and interpret blueprints and paint instructions.
• Maintain records of painting operations and charts as required.
