Job summary

ASML in Wilton, CT, is seeking a hands-on Optical Component Fabrication Technician to produce high-precision optics for semiconductor lithography systems. You will operate machinery, inspect components for defects, and uphold strict 5S workplace standards while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes meticulous measurement, process control, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive improvements in safety, quality, and throughput.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Experience using measuring equipment: microscopes, calipers, micrometers, CMM, interferometer.
• Participation in continuous improvement efforts (quality circles, kaizen, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and take ownership of optical processing equipment.
• Handle delicate optical components and visually identify abnormalities.
• Maintain area, tooling, and equipment to 5S standards.
• Identify and elevate unsafe conditions and quality concerns.
• Support area and factory schedule execution.
• Collaborate with Production Engineering and Manufacturing Management to improve efficiency.
• Learn and apply skills to tackle increasingly challenging products.
• Inspect and map glass surfaces for defects and ensure cleanliness of optical surfaces.
• Record time and attendance accurately and assist with training.
