Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or vocational certification preferred.
• Experience with measuring equipment such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, CMM, interferometer is desirable.
• Participation in continuous improvement activities (kaizen, quality circles).

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and own optical processing equipment.
• Handle delicate optical components and identify abnormalities.
• Maintain area, tooling, and equipment to 5S standards.
• Identify safety concerns and elevate quality issues promptly.
• Support area and factory schedule execution.
• Collaborate with Production Engineering and Manufacturing Management to improve efficiency.
• Learn and apply skills for progressively challenging products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, and throughput.
• Inspect and map glass surfaces to detect minute defects.
• Clean optical surfaces to remove particles and contaminants.
• Record time and attendance accurately.
• Assist with training new and existing employees.
