Job summary

Optikos is seeking a hands-on Assembler to join our optical systems manufacturing group in Wakefield, MA. You’ll assemble electrical, optical, and mechanical components, contributing to products from medical diagnostics to defense systems.

You’ll work with engineers on prototype builds, read instructions and drawings, and maintain quality with meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read work instructions and assembly drawings.
• Experience with bonding, gluing, and UV epoxy for small parts.
• Capable of handling small components under a microscope.
• Basic computer skills (Email, MS Word, MS Excel).
• Soldering and crimping proficiency plus point-to-point wiring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble a wide variety of electrical, optical, and mechanical products.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians with prototype builds.
