Job summary

Syntec Optics, Inc. is seeking an assembler for precision hand and machine assembly of finished products on site in New York.

You will read blueprints, select parts, and assemble with close attention to tolerances using various tools and equipment. The role requires at least 2 years in small parts assembly, strong math and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in small parts assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Familiar with various trade tools.
• Attention to detail and math skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with basic computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Assembles complex components and inspects tolerances.
• Fastens parts and subassemblies per customer specs.
• Operates assembly and packaging equipment.
• Reads and interprets customer prints and specifications.
• Maintains production reports and notes scrap/downtime.
• Identifies and resolves assembly issues and notifies supervisor.
• Performs other duties as required.
