SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I, Optics to perform mechanical, optical lens, and electronic assembly in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires attention to detail and comfort with pneumatic tools, torque devices, and routine quality inspections. Work is performed on a 1st shift (Mon–Thu, 0500–1530) in a standing-heavy environment; candidates should be able to read instructions, follow procedures precisely, and be able to collaborate with team members while meeting strict

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Optical mechanical assembly preferred.
  • Optics handling and cleaning a plus.
  • Ability to solder; soldering certifications a plus.
  • English reading/writing skills to follow directions.
  • Proficient in math and comfortable with ERP interfaces.
  • Problem solving, attention to detail, and teamwork.
  • Willing to be trained and cross-trained on multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Read, interpret, and follow detailed work instructions.
  • Operate torque tools, electric drivers, hand tools and optical equipment.
  • Maintain quality workmanship and lean guidelines.
  • Keep workspace clean and follow 6S routines.
  • Perform soldering and electronic assembly as needed.
  • Identify lens debris, defects, and perform inspections.
  • Operate robotic equipment and dispensing systems.
