Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Assembler for a 6+ contract position with a client located in Middlefield, CT. You will assemble optical components and follow detailed procedures in a cleanroom environment to ensure quality and traceability.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in production manufacturing, strong math skills, and experience with BOMs and optical layouts. ISO Class 7 cleanroom experience is preferred and safety training is required.

Qualifications

• Mathematical aptitude required.
• Ability to read and interpret BOMs, schematics and optical layouts.
• Experience with manufacturing precision optical or laser-based instruments.
• Clean room environment experience (ISO Class 7 or better preferred).
• Knowledge of interferometry, optical testing, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Clean and assemble objective lenses to print and detailed assembly procedures.
• Follow detailed manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanroom protocols and ensure contamination control during all assembly processes.
• Collaborate with engineering to support process development, validation, and continuous improvement.
• Document work performed with attention to detail.
• Maintain traceability of components and assemblies.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
• Maintain required training certifications and adhere to safety and quality.
