Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Keene, NH is seeking a capable assembler for optical systems. You will assemble and test sub-assemblies in a Class 10000/1000 cleanroom environments, following precise specifications. Production roles require accuracy and ability to work with supervision.

You will prepare components, align systems, and document results; you may ship assemblies to customers with supervisor review. Candidates should have a High School diploma, 1-2 years industrial experience, and basic math

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years industrial experience preferred.
• Basic math skills including algebra and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare components; assemble into housings without supervision.
• Prepare hardware (painting, alodine, priming, cleaning of non-optical surfaces).
• Assemble components per routers, drawings, and written procedures.
• Align systems to meet specifications.
• Align assemblies and in-process testing (basic interferometry and open optical testing).
• Process and finalize testing documentation per requirement with supervision.
• Prepare assemblies for shipment to customer with supervisor review.
