Job summary

Xylem is seeking a NC/CNC Operator for the 3rd shift at our Morton Grove, IL facility. You will set up and operate CNC machines, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure parts meet tolerances. The role requires 2–3 years of CNC experience, attention to detail, and safe work practices.

The position offers full-time hours onsite with wage progression and opportunities to contribute to a leading water technology company. Xylem supports volunteering and Watermark programs for employee involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Working knowledge of shop mathematics, including decimals, fractions, and basic algebra.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• SETUP & OPERATION: Set up NC/CNC machines according to process sheets, tooling instructions, and work orders.
• INSPECTION & VERIFICATION: Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure tolerances.
• MAINTENANCE & EQUIPMENT CARE: Conduct routine preventative maintenance and keep workspace clean.
• MATERIAL HANDLING & DOCUMENTATION: Move materials and maintain production records.
