Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Tool Technician in Kentucky to lead maintenance on mold tooling, set up machine shop tools, and ensure molds meet specifications. The role requires strong blueprint reading, precision measuring, and hands-on experience with electrical and hydraulic systems and injection molding equipment.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in maintenance or technical education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 2+ years industrial maintenance/manufacturing experience or technical schooling
• Regularly stand for long periods and handle tools/controls
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Extensive knowledge with electrical, hydraulic and injection molding machines
• Familiarity with hot runner mold systems preferred
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Exemplifies Amcor values; lead by example and maintain professionalism
• Read/interpret blueprints or verbal/written instructions; copy/flex parts as required
• Plan setup and operation of machine shop tools; consider material type, tolerances, feeds, and speeds
• Heat treat and weld parts as required
• Use precision measuring and gauging tools to inspect during machining
• Assemble mold parts and test molds to meet specifications; trace issues and modify as needed
• Assist machinists on injection molding press overhaul as needed
• Collaborate with designers to flag manufacturing challenges
• Perform other duties as assigned
