Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Kentucky to troubleshoot and repair electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and to perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment. The role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work with parts and tools in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include planning parts orders, assisting operators, maintaining storerooms, and advancing cross training for mold change and shift coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree in a related technical field strongly preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred and may be used to substitute for degree.
• English fluency required; good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Uses schematic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair electric, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
• Complete preventive maintenance on all production equipment in a timely manner according to schedule.
• Determine needed parts and/or equipment necessary to complete repairs and preventive maintenance and complete appropriate order requests. Work with Parts Room Coordinators to order parts at competitive pricing.
• Learn and gain expertise on new equipment and processes.
• Instruct co-workers on proper and safe operation of equipment as needed.
• Organize and maintain maintenance areas and stockroom.
• Promote cross training to be back up co-worker as needed.
• Follow all safety rules and PPE guidelines.
• May perform other related assignments as needed.
