Job summary

Summit Polymers in Michigan is seeking a Production Operator/Associate for molding machine operation and assembly of molded parts under supervision. The role involves reading instructions, trimming, weighing, packing, labeling, and performing routine quality checks.

You will use simple hand tools, monitor machine factors, document production data, and assist with color/mold changes and setup for next jobs. A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow instruction sheets.
• Basic math and quality inspection skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow Operator Instruction Sheets to determine parts and packing requirements.
• Inspect, weigh, pack, and label parts per written instructions.
• Utilize hand tools to trim, cut, and prepare parts for other operations per safety procedures.
• Operate molding machines and/or air activated tools to assemble, decorate, or produce product; report malfunctions and variances.
• Compare, inspect, and monitor production quality against approved samples; accept/reject as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and 5S housekeeping at work station.
• Interface with the production monitoring system.
• Assist with color/mold changes and setup for next job.
• Assist breaks for other operators and perform other tasks as directed.
