The role emphasizes microsoldering and board-level repair on miniature stacks and assemblies, working closely with our VP of Hardware and hardware engineers to modify, repair, and test designs.

Experience with fine-pitch components and console-level repair is valued; training is possible for strong candidates. The bench follows strict ESD practices and test routines.

Qualifications

• Precision repair on miniature components and fine-pitch connectors.
• Use of microscope, fine tools, and hot-air equipment with proper heating control.
• Electrical checks with multimeter and documented test procedures.
• Teamwork: follow instructions, ask questions, and help resolve issues.
• No formal degree required; demonstrated skill matters.

Responsibilities

• Connector and component rework on prototype PCB assemblies.
• Plan heating to protect both board sides and nearby parts.
• Verify part numbers, values, orientation, and solder-bridge configs.
• Track modified boards and ensure inspection and testing.
• Record changes, improve methods, and maintain an organized bench.
• Documentation of results and unresolved issues.
